I love Bergstrom Originals. They focus on Scandinavian brands and my favourite Fly London shoes. They are mostly online boutique but will answer questions to ensure you get the right fit. On the rare occasion I need to return something, it is easy.
where the design journey began
After completing her civil engineering degree at Queen's University, Christina studied tailoring in Copenhagen, Denmark. Returning to her maternal homeland to live, study and work, she established her foundation in design and craftsmanship.
Custom design era
What began as custom dress design evolved into a full bridal and event-wear atelier. Christina's creations of wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses, and occasion pieces—each designed with the same precision and artistry that defined her earliest commissions.
Retail launch in Toronto's East End
Christina launched her own line of bright, colourful ready-to-wear designs. Working with her husband and photographer, Andrew, she built a brand rooted in local production, releasing 4 collections per year.
the covid-19 pivot
The pandemic marked a pivotal moment. Christina made the decision to close her physical retail location and focus entirely on the growing online business. She established her warehouse in Cambridge, Ontario, positioning Bergstrom Originals for the next chapter of growth.
the new era
A converted textile factory became the birthplace of something new. In a light-filled warehouse space off the beaten path, weekly drop-in shopping meets curated online discovery. Each piece tells the story of a creator committed to quality and craft.
